BLASTER, occupation code – 754201

Classes are held daily (Monday-Friday), 4 hours per day, over a period of 1 month.

Blasters perform a variety of tasks: positioning, mounting, and detonating explosives in mining operations for extracting useful minerals; opening mineral deposits in quarries; road and railway works; and demolishing structures and construction elements at demolition sites.

Graduates of the course can work in construction companies, on construction sites, in quarries, and in mines.

Professional Competencies:

• Preparing the workplace for blasting operations as specified in the blasting plan;
• Ensuring the necessary quantities of explosives, materials, and equipment according to the blasting plan;
• Transporting explosives to the workplace using manual or mechanized methods;
• Storing explosives at the workplace in accordance with safety technical specifications;
• Drilling holes as outlined in the blasting plan;
• Making primers and loading explosives into holes;
• Conducting blasting operations;
• Eliminating misfires in accordance with the misfire removal program and restoring normal safety conditions at the work front.

Course Format:

• Theoretical lessons conducted in the training center classrooms;
• Practical internships organized at enterprises with which the institution has collaboration agreements.

Final Assessment:

The course concludes with a graduation exam. Participants who successfully pass the exam are awarded a Certificate of Professional Competence (series CCPF) in Romanian and English, available in both electronic and paper formats. The certificate is accompanied by a descriptive supplement.

Admission Conditions:

Any interested individual aged 18 or older, physically and mentally fit, capable of working in challenging conditions, and eligible under the legal framework for handling explosives.

Required Documents for Enrollment:

• A simple copy of the identity card;
• A copy of the educational certificate;
• 1 photo, size 3x4.
