ELECTRIC-GAS WELDER, occupation code - 721203

Classes are held daily (Monday to Friday), 4 hours per day, over a period of 2.5 months.

The profession of Electric-Gas Welder is in high demand on the labor market and is a priority in the construction industry.

Graduates of the course can work as employees in construction companies, enterprises manufacturing metal parts, or in other industries, as well as provide independent services.

Professional competencies:

• Reading technical drawings, identifying semi-finished products and components required to execute welded parts according to technical documentation;
• Preparing semi-finished products to achieve the desired welded piece;
• Performing manual welded joints in different welding positions using various metal materials with coated electrodes;
• Creating welded joints of ferrous and non-ferrous metals using non-fusible electrodes in an argon protective gas environment using the WIG process;
• Creating welded joints of ferrous and non-ferrous metals using fusible electrodes in an argon protective gas environment using the MIG process and in a carbon dioxide protective gas environment using the MAG process;
• Performing welded joints in different welding positions with a gas flame for various metallic materials;
• Cutting metallic materials with a gas flame and oxygen;
• Identifying welding defects through visual inspection of welded samples.

The course is conducted in small groups in the form of:

• Theoretical lessons held in the training center classrooms;
• Practical activities conducted in the Welding Laboratory, equipped with the necessary tools;
• Production internships organized at enterprises with which the institution has signed collaboration agreements.

The course concludes with a graduation exam. Participants who successfully pass the exam are awarded a Certificate of Professional Competence (series CCPF) in Romanian and English, available in both electronic and paper formats. The certificate is accompanied by a descriptive supplement.

Note: Individuals who have previously received professional training in the Electric-Gas Welder trade, for the purpose of enhancing their competencies or acquiring new ones, can complete only one module of the program, take the evaluation test for that module, and receive a certificate accompanied by an annex listing the acquired professional competencies.

Admission conditions: Any interested person aged 18 or older, physically and mentally fit, and capable of practicing the Electric-Gas Welder trade.

Required documents for enrollment: a simple copy of the identity card and the educational certificate.
