AUTO MECHANIC, occupation code – 723105

 

Classes are held daily (Monday to Friday), 4 hours per day, over a period of 4.5 months.

 

Currently, the automotive service sector is in high demand, and auto mechanics can perform a wide variety of tasks: identifying and diagnosing engine and part defects, servicing vehicle engines, assembling, inspecting, adjusting, dismantling, and replacing defective vehicle parts.

 

Graduates of the course can work in entities of various sizes that provide vehicle maintenance services: auto transport companies, auto service stations, and auto repair shops.

 

Professional competencies:

  • Performing manual and/or mechanical material processing (marking, cutting, straightening, smoothing, bending, drilling, threading, riveting, filing, honing surfaces, grinding materials);
  • Replacing or refilling lubricants and technical fluids;
  • Replacing filtering and sealing elements (oil, air, cabin, fuel, gaskets, rings, etc.);
  • Replacing drive belts (timing, accessories), spark plugs and glow plugs, brake system components (pads, shoes, discs, hoses, etc.);
  • Servicing steering system components (adjusting alignment angles, balancing wheels, etc.);
  • Replacing transmission system components (clutch kits, drive elements, etc.);
  • Cleaning/lubricating seals, joints, drives, and fasteners;
  • Checking the general technical condition of the vehicle (lubricants and fluids, engine systems, lubrication, cooling, fuel and air supply systems, suspension and wheels, transmission systems, steering system, brake system, lighting systems, signals, and windshield washer systems);
  • Determining the degree of wear/damage of inspected parts, assemblies, and subassemblies;
  • Repairing defects in mechanical systems (engine mechanisms, axles, suspensions, wheels, steering system, brake system, transmission system);
  • Performing testing, adjustment, and break-in of assemblies and systems.

 

Course format:

  • Theoretical lessons conducted in the training center classrooms;
  • Practical activities held in the auto mechanic laboratory equipped with the necessary tools;
  • Production internships organized at enterprises with which the institution has signed collaboration agreements.

 

Final Examination:

The course concludes with a graduation exam. Participants who successfully pass the exam are awarded a Certificate of Professional Competence (series CCPF) in Romanian and English, available in both electronic and paper formats. The certificate is accompanied by a descriptive supplement.

 

Note: Individuals who have previously completed professional training in the auto mechanic trade may choose to complete specific program modules, take an evaluation test, and receive a certificate with an annex listing the acquired competencies.

 

Admission conditions: Any interested person aged 16 or older, physically and mentally fit, and capable of practicing the auto mechanic trade.

 

Required documents for enrollment: a simple copy of the identity card and the educational certificate.

 

The professional training courses for adults are conducted in person at the following address: mun. Chișinău, Botanica sector, Sarmizegetusa Street, 43.
